Parents and students: we can use your help preparing our playground for the school year! Spreading bark and gravel throughout the grounds along with freshening our planters are a few of the many ways friends can chip in. Wheelbarrows, rakes and gardening tools are very helpful if available. Thank you in advance for your help!
Parents new to Stepping Stones are strongly encouraged to attend this orientation. Montessori envisions a very specific philosophy. Knowing the culture and expectations for children, parents, and teachers will help ensure a smooth transition to the school year. Mrs. Bosmans, Stepping Stones School Director, will provide excellent information not only about the school, but how parents and teachers can partner to support the emotional and academic development of students.
This open house style event provides opportunity for parents and children to meet teachers, find cubbies, drop off supplies and get to know new friends. Light refreshments will be available.
Parents are also invited to drop off September's tuition and complete any missing forms for their students' file.
Let's just be honest. Being a parent is no cake walk (btw, does anyone still do the cake walk?). It takes a village of friends and family to raise children. Why not expand yours at Stepping Stones' Parent's Night Out?
This event will kick start a monthly parent's support group lead by Mrs. Bosmans, our Montessori expert. Find helpful tools and solidarity with other people living life just as you are! Hope to see you there!

Throughout the month of December, we will be hosting a supply drive to help our local food bank. We are very excited to give back to our community this holiday season and spread love and kindness where ever we can. This month we will have 3 “giving boxes” that everyone is welcome to donate to. The family box, the bathroom box, and the pet box.
THE FAMILY BOX: This box will collect food and snacks for families just like yours. This box is for non-perishable food items and labeled canned foods.
THE BATHROOM BOX: This box will collect average bathroom items for all ages. From shampoo to hairbrushes. Anything you like using in the morning is welcome in this box.
THE PET BOX: This box will collect dry or canned food for pets in need. Also, small toys for pets to play with.
Anything you are willing and able to donate with help. Thank you so much for helping our small Stepping Stones community to reach out and help others. We will end the collection on December 16th.
BOXES ARE LOCATED IN THE SCHOOL AGE ROOM.

This is a valuable time of connection!
Students attending Sumner and Puyallup school districts are invited to be at SSM all day. Children are welcome to bring anything with wheels that does not run electronically (or on gas) to SSM. Please send helmets as well. They are mandatory. We'll most likely ride over to Maple Lawn so release forms are necessary for this day too.
